Christmas lights switch on date
The ballot for tickets t received 54,119 applications requesting 266,134 tickets.
Everyone who applied for tickets to the event in George Square received an email on will be sent an email on Monday this week either confirming they have tickets or explaining they have not be successful.

Hide AdLord Provost of Glasgow, Councillor Sadie Docherty said: “We know how popular the Glasgow Christmas Lights Switch On is but due to the capacity of George Square we can’t come close to getting everyone who wants to attend in to the event.
“This year we have had enough applications to fill George Square more than 20 times over so I hope that all those who were lucky enough to receive tickets in the ballot will come along on the night.”
The Glasgow Christmas Lights Switch On is the official start to Glasgow Loves Christmas.
Glasgow on Ice will return to George Square on Friday, November 27 and runs until Thursday, December 31.
Glasgow will also welcome the return of the Style Mile Carnival, Santa Dash, Baby’s First Christmas, St Andrew’s Day and the Christmas Markets.
