Land ahoy for Rouken Glen’s new play park
Work on the new play park will go ahead next Tuesday (April 22) and take approximately eight weeks, finishing in time for the school summer holidays.
The project will cost £270,000, stumped up by East Renfrewshire council and the Heritage Lottery Fund joint park improvement scheme, to replace the existing play area.

There will also be areas designed for wheelchair use, as well as seating around the play park.
However, Rouken Glen regulars will have to find another spot for play in the meantime, as the area will be out of use completely during construction.
