Pensioner conned out of £7,500 in online scam
The thieves used the elderly lady’s credit card details to go on an internet shopping spree over a week-long period in March.
Police are issuing a warning to online users to keep their details secure.

Hide AdA police spokeswoman said: “Transactions to the value of £7,500 were fraudently taken out in the lady’s name without her knowledge.
“Enquiries are being carried out at the moment by the card provider and the police.
“We are urging the public to ensure all their personal details are kept secure and to ensure they do not provide details to anyone unless they have carried out the appropriate checks.
“Contact police on 101 if you have any concerns.”
