Scott's going to Himalayas to raise funds for a school in India
Over £600 was raised at a recent fundraiser at Mugdock country park in support of Scott Waterfield’s trek in one of the world’s best-known mountain ranges as part of the World Challenge programme.
This took the form of a ladies-only film night which was a sell-out success, with excellent raffle prizes generously given by local businesses and individuals including White Fig Beauty, Eden Mill, Mugstock Festival, Brasserie 19, Grosvenor Cinema, Dining In with Mother India, Bar Florence and Rose & Thyme.

Hide AdScott (16) even volunteered himself as the “mystery star prize”, for odd jobs including gardening work, dog walking and cleaning cars for one lucky lady.
He would like to personally thank everyone for their support which will help him make the expedition next year, which will involve providing help for a school in Rajasthan, India.
The World Challenge is a leading provider of life-changing school expeditions. It provides children with an opportunity for learning and personal development outside the classroom through projects as diverse as maintenance and repair through to painting murals and building play areas within schools to make formal education more achievable and desirable in poorer rural communities.
Anyone else who would like to help pay for the trip, which must be self-funded, can contact Scott by email on [email protected]
