Rachael Arnold (cox), Sarah Arnold, Janey Campbell, Ruth Cranston, Hazel Gaddis, Natalie Irvine, Fiona O'Prey, Carla Santoni and Rosie Young took part in five out of seven junior women events, delivering strong performances and fast times and helping the Scottish junior women's team finish in second equal place, behind England by only two points.

Seniors Andrew Barton, Joseph Barton, Fraser Quinn and Daniel Shankland took part in both the M8+ and U23 4- events. The senior men stayed in contention throughout the competition with the team finishing in third equal position.

The efforts of the Strathclyde Park rowers also helped Team Scotland to finish second in the overall competition.

Club coach Peter Barton said: "We are delighted to have so many of our athletes representing Scotland at this year's Home International Regatta.

"This is a team competition and for many of the athletes this is the first time they have been selected to represent their country. Selection was based on previous performances and is a fitting recognition of the athletes' achievements, commitment and determination over the last nine months."

Club member Rosie Young enjoyed further recognition when she was called up to the junior GB rowing squad for the Coupe de la Jeunesse, a junior international competition which took place in Cork, Ireland.
