Andrew McGregor helps Scotland volleyball team beat the English
Andrew, of East Law Farm, who stands 6ft 4'' tall despite his tender years, was just half a point away from winning Player of the Series in a two-game competition which saw the Scots romp home by three sets to nil on consecutive nights.
"I was really pleased with my performances," said Andrew, a fifth year pupil at Carluke High School.
"Playing in front of a big crowd of 300 people was amazing.

Hide Ad"There was a really good atmosphere from the very start, when the national anthem was played.
"It was magical to play in front of such a crowd.
"Having people cheering you on for every point gives you an indescribable feeling.
"Although there were a lot of long rallies, it ended up being two comfortable wins for us in matches which each lasted for one hour 45 minutes."
There was also a Carluke representative playing for Scotland under-20 women against the English ladies at the Kelvin Hall. Emma Clarkson, of Cameron Road, starred as the Scots were defeated 3-1 twice.
