Crawfordjohn Heavy Mob prepare for Swamp Soccer World Championships
The Clydesdale village pals want to make a dirty big impact on the 2011 tournament, being played this weekend on five-a-side pitches with mud a foot deep at The Wisp near Edinburgh.
“Playing in last year’s World Championships was funny,” said Heavy Mob player Tom Collins.

“There were some hilarious slips and falls from players trying to reach the ball when it was just two centimetres in front of them!
“All of our players were absolutely covered in mud not long after the matches kicked off.
“Movement was so tricky it was unbelievable. You could easily get stuck in the mud and my shoe came off at one point.
“This year I’ll make sure there is a lot of duct tape around my shoes holding them on.”
