Home win for ‘lok
The homesters took the lead in the 19th minute when Rangers’ Craig Hughes conceded a penalty for a foul on Tam Hanlon. Last week’s hat-trick hero John Sweeney stepped up and despatched the ball into the corner of the net, despite Michael Duke getting a hand to it.
Pollok doubled their lead just as the clock ticked over to 45 minutes, Hanlon sending in a deep free-kick that was headed back across goal by Paul Gallacher, allowing Davie Winters to tap-in.

Hide AdKilsyth came out for the second half all guns blazing, pulling a goal back in the 56th minute, and what a goal it was. Nicky Prentice’s audacious backheel from Phil Dolan’s cross looped over Jordan Longmuir’s head, the first breach of the Pollok defence in more than 12 hours of competitive play. The second breach came a mere two minutes later, Longmuir misjudging a cross and palming the ball to Dolan who netted gleefully.
In the 82nd minute, ‘Lok scored the winning goal, Allan MacKenzie’s pass setting Sweeney on his way into the box, his left foot effort taking a deflection that foozled Duke and crept over the line.
This Saturday Pollok travel to Uddingston to take on Thorniewood United on league business. Kick off at Robertson Park is 1.45pm.
