Lesmahagow boss Robert Irving expects new signings
’Gow drew 0-0 with Renfrew with John McStay, James Coffey and Jack Currie all missing chances to get on the scoresheet. Despite a good start to the season, Robert’s side finished on 42 points and the boss believes it should have been more.
Robert said: “We’ve got to try and do better and I don’t think it was anything to do with the fixture schedule, we just need a few more players.

“We’ve got some really talented young players here and they need a few more experienced heads around them.”
Robert confirmed that he would be speaking to the ’Gow players over the next few days over their futures.
He added: “We are close to completing a few deals but I can’t give too much away at this stage.
“A few players will be getting released and a few will be coming in.
“I’m hoping that we will have five or six new players in place for the start of the season.”
